Maestro Eldon Turner is moving on......

The Hollywood Lutheran Choir will miss Maestro Turner, but wish him the best in his future endeavors. Besides the fact that he can sing any part, play the piano, organ, harpsichord and many other instruments. He has inspired the Choir to reach beyond there own expectations. He will be visiting us once or twice a month, at which time he will sing with the choir; a blessing for all of us.

We look forward to your visits with great anticipation..

A MESSAGE FROM MAESTRO ELDON TURNER

The long awaited CD of our choir work called "Legacy" is now available.

Please see Susan in the front office or downstairs during coffee for one of these recordings. They are available for a $10.00 suggested donation to the organ fund and make a great gift for any occasion and showcase the various talents we have been blessed with over the last 2 years - none of whom was remunerated to sing for us. I think you will enjoy this archival remembrance of the good seed we have planted in our music ministry here - and as a springboard for the great things that are to come.

This month also marks the culmination of my time as music director of Hollywood Lutheran, although I will not be out of the picture completely - I just won't be in charge. As many of you know, my schedule with the magazine I write for has competed with my work here for some time - and my work has been compromised both at the magazine and at this church. So it is time to pass the torch on to someone who can be more available for Hollywood Lutheran - as you deserve. I am going to be making my base camp in Virginia (I miss my family there very much) and do the world traveling I have foisted onto others for the last 2 years. I will be back in Los Angeles, as many as 2 Sundays per month and hope to continue to sing in the choir and see how the organ plans are progressing Best wishes and Godspeed to Hollywood Lutheran.
